Birthe’s first forays into the field of photography are linked to an Agfa pocket camera and the family’s camera. She took pictures of everything that seemed an appropriate subject: flowers, landscapes, markets, celebrations or family events and also impressions from various holidays and trips. To this day, Birthe rarely leaves the house without a camera.

Her first own camera, an Exakta HS-10, served her loyally for years and delivered picture-perfect memories. In 2005 she made the switch to digital photography – first buying a compact camera and soon after a Canon EOS 400D. Digital photography offered her greater flexibility and more possibilities. Currently Birthe is trying out various directions, experimenting with graphical elements or working on aesthetic shoots of graveyards.
