Jochen Weber is a keen traveller and has been taking pictures on his travels for a few years now, creating a mixture of travel and report photography: people and street, scenes and special places, landscapes and situations. He wants to emphasize the special characteristic of a place or a person. He wants to take beautiful impressions along and show us how and where our fellow men live, what they live on, what their driving force is and what kind of stories they tell us.

His topic for “Hidden View” was “Retracing/Places to Remember”. He was looking for places with historic significance in Stuttgart, places which we should remember but which we no longer notice in our everyday lives. “Places to Remember” turned into a way of looking for traces against oblivion, a quest for special, important places.
